STANLEY  KUBRICK:  A  PATHFINDER

BY  MIKE  BOEDICKER

AUDIOVISUAL DIRECTOR,  DANVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY

This pathfinder is designed to connect you with resources -- print, video, audio, and online -- relating to the late filmmaker Stanley Kubrick.  Kubrick's work is unique, enlightening, disturbing...and just plain fascinating.  Even his detractors will admit that his films are like no other.

It was in the early stages of planning this pathfinder that Kubrick died on March 7, 1999, just days after completing his last film, Eyes Wide Shut.  His death is a huge loss to cinema.  Perhaps our only consolation is that he left behind one hell of a set of films.  As long as there are movie theaters and home video, his work lives.
