Mercedes Lackey has always been one of my favorite fantasy writers, but now I have found a book that also crosses over into another of my favorite, Native American literature. Lackey, though heavy handed at times with her facts, weaves a nice blend of mystery and fantasy. A young Native American private investigator has been hired to find out who bombed a construction site, pitting culture against culture. Jennifer is not only a PI but she is also a shaman using all of her skills to solve this case before anyone else is murdered.
