The Danville Public Library Memory Lab is used to digitize your old photos, home movies, or other old media formats for archival purposes. This service is available to the public and is handled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
To start your digitization request, we will need a completed Memory Lab Form. You can fill out these forms at the Reference Desk if you don’t have your own printer.
List of supported media types:
- Sony Betamax
- VHS and VHS-C (S-VHS not supported)
- Audio Cassette Tapes
- Vinyl Records (33 & 45 RPM)
- 5” Floppy Disks
- Documents, Photos, Negatives, Slides
- DVD, DVCAM, Mini DV
- Digital 8, Video 8, Hi-8
- 8mm and Super 8 Reel Film (audio not transferred)
