Monday Spotlight: Mindful Mornings

Relax your way into the weekend with an hour of meditation and good vibes Friday mornings at 10:00 a.m.
 
Danville Public Library’s Outreach Department is introducing a new program to teach our community the benefits of learning how to unwind and live in the present.
 
 
*DISCLAIMER*
Due to COVID-19, we are only allowed a maximum of 10 patrons per program. We are asking that all participants in Mindful Mornings supply their own mat. Sanitized chairs will be provided and available for use during the program. This program includes strong fragrance to set the atmosphere of the program. Please inform the staff if you have sensitivities to fragrance, we are happy to accommodate you.

A message to patrons: 

We have implemented a number of new safety measures based on guidance from health authorities, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and appropriate government agencies. 

Before you enter the library building please note the following changes, which have been implemented for the safety of patrons and staff alike:

  • Face coverings are required for patrons ages 2 and up
  • Physical distancing practices including physically-distanced queues and physical barriers
  • Reduced operating hours
  • An increased focus on disinfecting and sanitation, including the addition of hand sanitizers near entrances and at service desks
  • Fax services located in the entry way
  • Discontinued use of water fountains
  • Reference and archives assistance by appointment
  • Curbside pickup & HOME DELIVERY of materials

We have taken enhanced safety measures—for you, our other patrons, and staff. You must follow all posted instructions while visiting the library.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. Maker’s Thursdays

Danville Public Library’s new Teen Zone Department is hosting programs on Thursdays to introduce teens to make-it-yourself projects!

Teens will utilize a variety of tools to create various projects.

This week: Mason Jar Luminaries

All of the programs are an hour and a half long and will be led by the Teen Zone staff members.

This program is available on Thursdays from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.
