Near the end of the film The Force Awakens, the heroes send Captain Phasma down a garbage shoot after forcing her to let down the shields on Starkiller Base. This comic picks up her story from there. First, she eliminated any record in the computer of her having lowered the shields. Then she checks the logs to see if anyone else looked to see who lowered the shields: Lieutenant Sol Rivas. Captain Phasma then works to frame him for lowering the shields. Rivas goes on the run and Captain Phasma follows, along with a pilot she conscripts to fly a TIE fighter.
The book is four issues and I read it all in one sitting. Phasma is one of my favorite characters (and woefully underused in the films, but that’s another conversation), so I was delighted to come across a graphic novel detailing her escape from Starkiller Base. The plot moves fast and the new characters, in particular the TIE fighter pilot, are great additions to the Star Wars saga.
