Join us each month to learn the basics of safe and effective food preservation with expert-led video sessions from the U of I. Perfect for gardeners, home cooks, and anyone curious about preserving seasonal flavors!

📺 November 3: Freezing Foods at Home

Freezing foods at home is simple and requires equipment you likely already have in your kitchen. For the best quality frozen fruits and vegetables, it is not enough to simply add foods to your freezer. In this program, learn which foods do freeze well, why blanching improves frozen food quality, the process of freezing at home, and more.
This program is made possible by a grant from Danville Library Foundation and a partnership with University of Illinois Extension of Champaign, Ford, Iroquois, and Vermilion Counties.
