During the growing season, questions about lawn or turf care are quite common at University of Illinois Extension offices.
Among the many questions, there is growing interest in natural or more sustainable lawn care practices.

University of Illinois Extension Educator, Ryan Pankau will present a program on Natural Lawn Care and answer your questions on Tuesday, May 17 at 6 p.m. at the Danville Library. Ryan has past work experience as a certified arborist, forest hydrologist, and USDA-NRCS Area Forester in southern Illinois. Currently, he specializes in forestry, tree care, and the use of native plants in both landscaping and restoration settings. He is the author of the Garden Scoop blog which discusses a wide variety of plant-related topics specific to Illinois.
