Long term friends Billy (Vince Vaughn) and Nick (Owen Wilson) are a team of door-to-door salesmen who find that they are “dinosaurs” in the age of the internet.
Billy, who is always trying to move on and adapt, convinces Nick, who is more stable, to apply to Google as interns. It doesn’t guarantee a job but Billy is tired of the daily grind and wishing for a new adventure.
Due to their optimism and motivation, a couple of head managers at google are willing to give them a chance. Once there, they meet a group of nerdy outcasts whom they have to team up with. As time goes on, they find themselves teaching these young kids a thing or two about life in general. They end up winning over a lot of people at Google due to their charm, optimism, and overall attitude.
I thought the comedy was cute and predictable. Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson have played in movies together and they work well together! Will Ferrell, John Goodman, Rose Byrne, Rob Riggle, and other main actors and comedians round up this cute comedy.
What I like about it was that there seemed to be a message, or two throughout the movie…
-folks are adaptable
-all of us have different talents and/or abilities that make us valuable
-with the right circumstances, motivation, hard work, and attitude great things are possible
