This week we’re making Superhero T-Shirts!

Danville Public Library’s new Teen Zone Department is hosting programs on Thursdays to introduce teens to make-it-yourself projects!

Teens will utilize a variety of tools to create various projects.

All of the programs are an hour and a half long and will be led by the Teen Zone staff members.

This program is available on Thursdays from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.

Mindful Mornings

Relax your way into the weekend with an hour of meditation and good vibes Friday mornings at 10:00 a.m.
 
Danville Public Library’s Outreach Department is introducing a new program to teach our community the benefits of learning how to unwind and live in the present.
 
 
*DISCLAIMER*
Due to COVID-19, we are only allowed a maximum of 10 patrons per program. We are asking that all participants in Mindful Mornings supply their own mat. Sanitized chairs will be provided and available for use during the program. This program includes strong fragrance to set the atmosphere of the program. Please inform the staff if you have sensitivities to fragrance, we are happy to accommodate you.

LIBRARY TO CLOSE FOR THREE DAYS

Danville Public Library will be closed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, July 13, 14 and 15. The library plans to open again to the public on Thursday, July 16 at 9:00 a.m.

A library staff member tested positive for COVID-19. This staff member had minimal contact with the public. The library has been in contact with the Vermilion County Health Department and is following their guidance for staff with positive cases. Out of an abundance of caution, the library is closing for three days. During this time, custodial staff will sanitize surfaces.

Library staff members follow safety guidelines, including wearing masks, social distancing and disinfecting work areas. Staff are monitoring for symptoms on a regular basis, including temperature checks at the beginning of each shift.
